About Me

Shannon is an accomplished senior operations executive with CEO experience leading digital transformation and business models shifts in healthcare. She has successfully led large-scale transformation initiatives, gained locally as the CEO of Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers and Chief Business Development Officer of Denver Health, nationally as a Board member at Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital and Children’s Hospital and globally as CEO of World Forward. Her previous Board experience includes governing companies over 2 trillion in revenues, and more than 3K workers. As CEO, Shannon has direct experience with P&L’s of over $270 million in revenue, managing 900+ employees, 16 departments, serving 2.44 million customers annually, and successfully leading teams across 21 different locations and six continents.

Shannon a has a sense of intellectual curiosity that has fostered her continual learning and understanding. She is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with a B.S. Physics & B.S. Applied Mathematics from George Washington University, M.S. Physics from Tufts University, and she will complete her Doctorate in Computer Science with a specialty in big data and cybersecurity in 2020. Her dissertation is on the relationship between the governance of big data, leadership, and information security risk management. This important work builds on her work in big four at Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers where she started Data Management practices in Colorado, spearheading Business Intelligence insights for Fortune 500 clients.

In addition to being a business technology strategist, Shannon brings the expertise of business development and modeling, strategic decision making, innovation, finance, M&A, foundation management with fundraising as well as international experience to her Board positions. As an experienced CEO across both for-profit and non-profit organizations, as well as being a founder of a startup, Shannon’s unique executive experiences have helped her acquire a holistic perspective to understand how businesses grow and succeed.

Shannon is a global business leader and keynote speaker on strategy, digital transformation and talent intelligence, presenting at conferences hosted by Bloomberg, CNBC, YPO, and the Employers Council. She has been recognized as a Top 40 under 40, Power Book Finalist, Outstanding Women in Business Nominee, and CEO of the Year Finalist from the Colorado Technology Association. She is published in the Denver Business Journal, Denver Post, Forbes, and her books are for sale on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
